Also is told of some other things that have been very promising and showing good results but have been suppressed or quashed by the powers that be, corruption and greed.

For what it is worth. I had a friend in Puerto Rica who cured her dog's cancer by giving it large doses of the vitamin Seleniuum. I don't remember what kind of cancer her dog had but she swore the Selenium cured him. I don't know if this would work on a human but at this point anything is worth trying. My best wishes for finding a cure.
1. There's a promising new drug called Glevac (also spelled Gleevec and Glevec) on the market. The drug is FDA approved for one type of cancer and is also known as STI571. It is marketed by Novartis.

5. I am not a medical professional, but I have heard that the liver will naturally grow back if even two-thirds of it is removed. If the cancer has spread to the liver, is surgery an option?

I don't know very much about treatment for ovarian cancer- but I know that there are new studies coming out often for every different type of cancer. I have interned in an oncology clinic, and I have seen how many different experimental studies there are which are worth a try. I'm sure you and your doctors have researched very carefully, but maybe if you can get in touch with other hospitals, they might have an opening on a new study treatment. We just lost my mother to Bile Duct/Liver cancer and also could have used a new treatment. I am at least glad your patient is getting proper pain medication, which is not always addressed properly.

I recently got a "cancer scare" when I went to have an examination because of constant back pain. Whe I got my ultrasound the found a "mass" in my ovary and gave me the CA125 screen for "ovarian cancer antigen". What does this mean? It means that contrary to the picture that we have, of our body being defensless against Cancer, the opposite is true. When they check for Ovarian Cancer, they are looking for the bodies own antigen. The healthy body kills cancer. All wholistic methods worth their salt follow practically the same pattern of logic and health no matter what the ailment, with the addition of specific herbs and treatments.If a person can accept the logic and accept the fact that the body, for some spiritual reason, LET DOWN IT'S DEFENSE, and became a host to cancer, they can get the benefits of the healing power of the body. Sometimes the pain is too great and the person has carried it too long and they are actually dying. We only see the outward signs. My friend died when she was fifty of cancer. It had started out obscure in her shoulder or bones and when the medical profession had saved her against all odds, at the last moment, the cancer re-appeared in her heart and she died. There you can read some of his biography and writings and pretty much meet the man. You will find nothing "magical" or astonishing about his healing knoweldge. Among people of faith, regardless of the confusion of religous reckoning, it appears that the Creator, in His mercy, grants us some healers. Some a doctors of high standing in prestigous hospitals that have saved mine and others lives with their skill and some are more humble, cast aside and trod upon because of the meaness of mens hearts. It was interesting to me when my CA 125 came back negative and I was talking to my doctor, an Osteopath, and she said, "Have you heard the new theory on cancer?" and I said "No" and she said that there is theory now that Cancer is a process that goes on now and then in the body and only when the system allows it, from a inner breakdown, does it take over. This was encouraging to hear, that these two differing schools of thought had come to see the same thing. An Osteopath is a full fledged doctor, can go in the hospital, preform surgery, has all the credential of an MD but within their oath they say they "believe in the body's ability to heal." and that is a difference. I never heard of a DO until I moved to Oregon. And I do not hold anyone up a miracle worker. I believe that the information on Dr Christopher's website, the stories of his cases and his humble treatments speak for themselves. It is interesting to note that Natural Medicine also used poisons to treat cancer. Poke root is classified as a "poison" and it is a factor in Christopher's cancer treatments. One of the names of poketoot is "cancer root". It was widely used to treat cancers and I have even seen an entire quilt from the Oregon Trail embroidered in "pokeroot". BUT if you think that you can just try pokeroot, or try any one thing to get the magic bullet effect, please read Drt Christopher's entire site. The only way to have the confidence in what you are doing is to understand the logic of it, REASON, instead of the paralyzing fear that grips you when you come face to face wsith death. You first must be reconciled to the fact that this might really be your death. Strip it of it's power. Spit in death's eye and pray your heart out to the Creator that you have things to do still, in his glory. If the patient chooses to live, and her body has the vitality, any worthwhile Naturopath will follow essentially the same course, to maximize the body's organs of elimination and clease the body of toxins, get the body to attack the cancers and consume them, as it has the power to do. Most of the healing is in the process, the herbs are an adjunct. Let me note, in the case of an bigotry, that Dr Christopher was a Mormon. I am not a Mormon and I do not wish to say anything about Mormonism at this time,I am a monotheist. I have found, like in so many higher callings, that there are things that transcend our religious differences. I have never found anything in Christopher's writings where he gave credit to Mormonism for his knowledge as a healer or any other prostelyting. It is so hard to go though an illness like this--the whole family has dis--ease; each one is touched in some way...our prayers and thoughts go out to you.
From a medical point of view (a nurse) things don't look well, but don't give up hope!
The next part I hesitate to add, but will anyway--I have heard of a product called noni juice which might give your mom some additional strength and help--there are some amazing stories going around about it--I don't want to make any promises. Check it out in the search on the net....

I wish I had a suggestion that would help. I don't. I will, however, do the only thing I know how to do and that is to include her in my prayers.
I lost my own mother last year, after a long battle with congestive heart failure, and know how you must be feeling now.

Jesus Christ would be my answer. In John 16:23 He said: "Whatever you ask the Father in my name you will receive." You can't imagine the things He has done for me. Many, many people of the Jewish faith have come to accept Jesus as their lord and savior. That is what I think she should do. If there were other medicines, the doctor would have found them by now.

There are so many of us wishing to help--
Hulda R. Clarke in her book entitled "A Cure for all Diseases" maintained that most of our diseases are parasite related. I have been interested in thalidomide and its potential applications for years. Looking to see what has been published on thalidomide in ovarian CA, I found this paper from London showing that low-dose thalidomide is not helpful. However, I don't see the results of the high-dose study they allude to. You may want to contact TG Eisen at University College in London and ask him what he/she thinks of thalidomide in this condition.
Thalidomide has the advantage of being a licensed drug in America (albeit highly and appropriately regulated) so that it can be used "off-label" for a patient like this who is not in a clinical trial by a doctor and pharmacy trained in its use, and you don't have to necessarily be in a clinical trial for this.

Thalidomide in solid tumors: the London experience. Eisen TG. University College, London, England. Investigators at the Royal Marsden Hospital and University College in London have studied thalidomide (Thalomid) as both low-dose (100 mg orally, every night) and high-dose (600 mg, given as 300 mg twice per day) therapy for patients with a variety of solid tumors. In the phase II low-dose study, responses were disappointing in patients with melanoma, ovarian cancer, and breast cancer. Results for patients with renal-cell carcinoma were more encouraging. A case study of a patient with metastatic renal-cell carcinoma in the lung and lymph nodes in the low-dose thalidomide study illustrates that (1) responses may be very slow; (2) the palliative response is separate from the overall response, occurs much earlier, and is not consistent with an antiangiogenic action; and (3) peripheral neuropathy is a manageable side effect. Besides peripheral neuropathy, patients can experience severe constipation (even on low doses) as well as headache, edema, and skin rash for which treatment recommendations can be made. Anecdotal benefits of thalidomide include enhanced or maintained appetite, improved sleeping, and reduced sweating. The high-dose study has been submitted for publication.

I can recommend that you get tapes from her from the Chofetz Chaim foundation, their division called Chazak is incredible. It brings chizuk to people facing difficult life crisis.
I was a nurse in South Africa and I have counselled many terminally ill patients. I have also nursed women with your mothers condition.
I know that Torah tapes and Torah learning can reverse all diseases if Hashem so ordains. I wish I was there to help counsel your Mom.
We have to realise that the only true Rofei is Hashem and that if He sends a refuah your Mom will BH be healed. We have to seek a cure but ultimately it is in His hands.
However if your Mom obtains these tapes and there is a wonderful serious by Rav Wagshall she will be in a position to accept what she is going through with ahavah and that in itself often leads to a complete cure.
I am blessed to live in Jerusalem and I often go to the kotel and say tehillim for sick people. From the beginning of elul I hope to go everyday for 40 days excluding shabbos and the chagim, I have put your Moms name into my tehillim book and will say tehillim for her.
